The Challenge
This globally recognized US brand, wanted INvolve to tailor and deliver a strong, internal talent development program to support the career progression of their Black employees.
This was the first time that this organization had implemented a talent development program for a specific demographic, and we were tasked with ensuring that this program was tailored for the unique needs of Black individuals within the business.
The ambition was to:
- Implement the inclusivity visible to external stakeholders and customers internally.
- Ensure that employees feel as though they can progress authentically, and fairly, within the business.
The Solutions
Overall, the delivery of this RISE Program was a huge success. The cohort participants gained insights that they could apply within the workplace, that ranged from analysing their personal brand and learning to leverage this to elevate their leadership skills and identifying their communication and leadership styles.
As a renowned brand, it is vital for this business to create a talent pipeline of strong, internal leaders. We ensured that that the modules undertaken by participants were relevant, insightful and provided them with practical guidance and tools to become effective leaders.
This brand recognized the value and importance of targeted action to drive progress – in this case for Black employees. Therefore, as next steps, we will be:
- Delivering another cohort of the RISE Empower Program for the brand’s Asian and Latinx employees alongside another cohort for Black employees.
- Working closely with this organization to ensure that line managers, and stakeholders remain engaged in the development of their high potential diverse talent.
All of the training materials were fully branded by us to the client’s identity so they could become a part of the standard portfolio used within the business.
