UN LGBTI Standards of Conduct

Through our work with global businesses, INvolve has access and knowledge of D&I best practice across a range of sectors. When the UN launched their LGBTI standards of conduct for business, it became evident that our knowledge in the area, and that of our partners, could be leveraged to support the implementation of the Standards. Throughout 2018 and 2019, we gathered case studies from across our network to share best practice related to each of the standards, with the aim to shift the dial positively for LGBT+ workers the world over. We hope that through this guidance, the UN Standards of Conduct can be applied in practice by businesses who have expressed support publicly, and those which are on the path to becoming more inclusive workplaces for LGBT+ people.

The guidance contained in this report comes in two forms, through INvolve’s ‘top tips’ related to each of the standards and the components which comprise them, and through ‘in practice’ examples from businesses across our global network and beyond.
